Since starting his role in 2010 at the Boulder JCC, Jonathan has led the community's $30M capital campaign to build a new JCC campus, which opened in summer 2016. In 2007, Jonathan continued his studies and was selected as a Taub Fellow at New York University in the dual-master’s degree program for a Master in Public Administration in Nonprofit Management and Master in Hebrew and Judaic Studies. For more than six years, Jonathan was a leader in the field of Jewish summer camp where he worked to enhance the level of supervision and mentorship for both campers and staff through innovative summer and year-round trainings. He was certified as high school teacher and Summa Cum Laude graduate from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He is a passionate educator and entrepreneur who combines his experience at Jewish summer camp and involvement with the startup of Boulder based Renewable Choice Energy to influence his leadership as a nonprofit executive and Jewish professional. Jonathan Lev, MPA, joined the Boulder JCC as Executive Director in 2010. Celebrate the establishments that make Boulder the culinary destination it is on November 11-19, 2011. The week celebrates Boulder’s exceptional dining community and helps bring our well-deserved reputation into the national spotlight. For one full week, more than 40 of Boulder’s top restaurants will offer a special three course $26 prix fixe dinner menu to the community. įirst Bite Boulder First Bite Boulder is an annual event highlighting Boulder’s dining scene. In addition Sweet Pea Catering is providing a kosher option and Spice of Life Catering will serve desert. The restaurants participating and donating their food and services are Absinthe House, Centro Latin Kitchen, Japango, Jill’s, Laudisio, The Rib House, Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant, Tahona Tequila Bistro/The Steak Room, West End Tavern, and Zolo Grill. Hazel Miller will provide an evening of entertainment as guests eat Boulder’s local fare. This event will celebrate the community’s success and provide an opportunity for all members of the community to come together and donate to this once in a lifetime project. Now, with the first submission to the city in the near future and potentially within a year of construction, the goal is set to finish the campaign. Since that time, the community has come together in extraordinary ways to raise more money than any other Colorado Jewish capital project as well as what is estimated to be more money than any other local non-profit in Boulder other than the hospitals and the University of Colorado Boulder. In April 2010, the Boulder JCC reignited and embarked on the Cornerstone Capital Campaign. On November 2 nd from 6:00 – 9:30 pm at the Boulder Theater, approximately 500 people will eat, celebrate, and experience the excitement of the new JCC facility as the night will showcase never before seen renderings of the future interior spaces. The Boulder Jewish Community Center and ten local restaurants have joined forces to offer an exclusive preview of First Bite Boulder as a fundraiser for the Boulder JCC’s Cornerstone Capital Campaign. ![]()
