Shamanism and Druidism are very similar, with some major differences. It makes sense that Orcs would wish to become a wolf, as they revere them, seeing them as great hunters. Wolves are native to Draenor, Worgs are native to Azeroth (as we will see wolves in WoD). One orc shaman named Kalthar even changed his spirit into a bird to see what was causing a time anomaly connecting that time to the War of the Ancients. In lore, a shaman can turn their spirit into whatever animal spirit that will lend them their form. They have a small connection to the Realm of Spirits, as well, as noted by the Lich King in Howling Fjord when you enter the Spirit Realm to see the past. They commune with spirits of their ancestors, and spirits of animals. Shamans not only commune with the elements (such as elementals, or elemental spirits, such as the elementals in Pandaria) but also spirits. PPS: I really hope this thread makes sense. PS: Excuse my english, it isn't my native language. Also, is it weird for a tauren/cow/bull-man to turn into a wolf? (LOL) If someone can clarify what the Ghost Wolf form really is, and tell me about where it belongs, that'd be great. It seems stupid that a dwarf - or a draenei for that sake, can turn into a wolf. I have some kind of WoW-OCD and I wouldn't ever want to roll a dwarf shaman simply because of the ghost wolf form. I read that the Tauren - who are believed by some to be even older than the Night Elves, taught the orcs about the spirit wolf as they've always believed in the nature and the animals surrounding them. That thought later became the wolf as they arrived on Azeroth. Like some are drawn to the though of the Earthmother. I also came across someone who mentioned that Draenor didn't have any wolves at all, and that the orcs were drawn to merely the thought of a great hunter. I've been reading up on the lore, and it seems like a lot of people think that the Ghost Wolf originated on Draenor with the orc shamans - with the Frostwolf Clan, that is. I've never really understood the Ghost Wolf ability, we (shamans) have been using for years. While I was thinking about race-changing my female orc shaman, I came across a dilemma.
